Join us this Memorial Day, Monday, May 29th at 10:00 AM in the Worship Center as we honor and remember the fallen heroes who died while serving in the U.S. Armed Forces. This is a special service and time for our community. We hope to see you there!
XLR8 is a week filled with new friends, friendly competition, and the Gospel! This year our theme is "Equipped", talking about the importance of following Jesus here, there, and everywhere. We hope that students currently in grades 6-8 will join us Monday- Thursday and Sunday morning for our final day. This summer we are blending the crazy games and spiritual impact with getting hands-on training in being leaders to the next generations. Our students will get the opportunity to start the mornings off with chapel and a rally with food and games, to then go and serve in our elementary VBS with all aspects from leading groups to help with worship and such. Then we will end the day with a debrief of what God is teaching them through serving and crazy groups games/ challenges. Registration deadline is May 7 at midnight. Welcome to Ready, Set, Move. We are so excited that you are registering to join us for our 2023 VBS from Monday, June 5 through Thursday, June 8 from 9 am to noon and our day 5 VBS celebration on Sunday, June 11 here at Indian Rocks Baptist Church. Our Ready, Set, Move VBS is for those children currently in Kindergarten through 5th grade. This summer we will learn to follow Jesus here, there and everywhere! While we take a pause on Wednesday night activities for the summer, we wanted to take advantage of the opportunity to have a church night at the beach and celebrate a few baptisms while we are there! This is a great chance to invite your friends and bring your family or get together with your life group to fellowship at the beach from 6-8 PM before we baptize at 7 PM. So mark your calendars, bring a picnic dinner, and join us at Sand Key Park on Wednesday, July 26!
Join us for our Campus Clean-Up Day on Saturday, July 29, as we prepare our facilities for back-to-school and our upcoming celebration on August 6! This is a family-friendly event with various teams handling tasks from gardening to pressure washing, mopping, dusting, and tree trimming. There's something for everyone to get involved! We're committed to making this a fun and comfortable day out, so we'll supply plenty of water, lunch, and snacks for all attendees. You can choose your preferred team today by signing up on our website. Make sure to mark your calendars and save the date for a combined service on Sunday, August 6. This will be Pastor Aaron Filippone’s first official Sunday as Senior Pastor of Indian Rocks, and we are pulling out all the stops to mark the occasion! We will also be honoring Pastor Jeff Parish for his 16 years of faithful leadership as our senior pastor as he passes the baton of senior leadership to Pastor Aaron. Some special guests will join us as well: Pastor Charlie Martin, who led Indian Rocks for more than 35 years, will be here, as well as Pastor Jimmy Scroggins, the Lead Pastor of Family Church in West Palm Beach. Following the one combined service at 10:45, we’ll have an indoor “tailgate” reception for Pastor Jeff and Pastor Aaron that everyone is invited to attend! You don’t want to miss this momentous occasion in the life of our church, celebrating the past; present; and future of Indian Rocks and how God has used strong leadership to reach our community with the gospel.
Whether you're a dedicated volunteer in our ministry or someone interested in making a difference, we need YOU at our rally! At the beginning of the evening, Pastor Aaron will share some encouraging words and a challenge for the upcoming year. He will speak about how we can serve our church and community better. Then, you'll connect with others who serve in your primary area of ministry, enjoying a meal together and going through key information as we kick off the new ministry year at Indian Rocks. And if you're wondering where your primary area of service is on Sunday mornings, don't sweat it! Maybe you're part of the Kids Ministry, singing in the choir, or dedicated to our prayer ministry? No matter where you serve, we value you. For this rally, choose the area you feel you contribute most on Sunday mornings. This event is also an excellent opportunity to bring someone interested in serving. Know someone who might want to join in? Invite them! After all, everyone enjoys a free meal and quality time with their church family.
