Next Steps are designed to equip you with the tools necessary to become part of our family here at Indian Rocks. From discovering the vision of Indian Rocks to serving in life-giving ministry, we will lead you step-by-step down a path to experience both growth and fulfillment.
The Next Steps process is made up of uniquely designed classes geared towards helping you take a step closer to God’s plan for your life here at Indian Rocks. Our ultimate goal is to help you connect with who Jesus is and what He came to do, so your life can touch the lives of others.
Next Steps Lunch
We understand that finding a community where you feel connected and valued can be challenging. But when you’re here, we want you to feel like family. Picture this: you’re at a table, enjoying a delicious meal, sharing your story, and hearing about the experiences and vision of our church from the pastor and ministry leaders themselves. It’s not just about getting to know us, it’s about us getting to know you and your unique gifts and story. Afterward, enjoy a delightful dessert bar and have a chance to meet the rest of the pastoral staff. And if you’re a parent, rest assured that we have childcare covered. Indian Rocks is all about responding to the good news of who Jesus is and what he’s done. The symbolism of baptism is a beautiful summary of the Christian life. As we go under the water, we identify ourselves with the death Jesus died on our behalf for our sins on the cross. As we emerge from the water, we identify ourselves with Christ’s resurrection, and our rising to new life in Jesus.
At Indian Rocks, we love baptisms. They are proof that God is working in and through us in a profound way, and that people are experiencing true transformation through the gospel. We celebrate when people are baptized because we believe baptisms are a blessing to everyone involved.
Should you be baptized?
There are two groups of people whom we encourage to sign up for baptism.
- Those who have recently put their faith in Jesus for the first time.
- Those who have been Christians for a while, but have never taken the important step of obedience to publicly share what Christ has done for them through baptism.
In order to be baptized, you must join Indian Rocks Baptist Church in membership. If you would like more information on becoming a member, sign up for the Membership Class.
Our church’s mission is connecting people to who Jesus is and what He came to do. Being a part of a group in a faith community provides a great opportunity for this to happen. In our groups we learn God’s Word, care for each other, praise God for who He is and what He’s done, and pray to God for His help and guidance. The key is – we do these things together! These meaningful relationships help everyone grow in their faith.
When you serve at church, in the community, and around the world; you get the opportunity to meet the real-life needs of people from all walks of life. We think you’ll find that giving your time improves your life as much as it improves the lives of those you get to serve. Our volunteer training covers the values and “DNA” of how we serve others at Indian Rocks.
