Due to the severe weather that Pinellas County will potentially be experiencing related to Hurricane Idalia, the Indian Rocks Baptist Church campus will close tomorrow, August 29, at noon. We will remain closed through Wednesday, August 30. We have decided to cancel all campus activities for Tuesday through Wednesday.
At this time, due to mandatory evacuations being ordered for the beaches, we plan to open as a shelter on Tuesday, August 29, starting at 3 PM. We will not be able to accept any animals, including service animals, or be able to accommodate medical devices requiring power. Pinellas County offers shelters that accept animals, and you can find information on those at PinellasCounty.org/Emergency. Please be in prayer for our community and all those that this storm will impact.
