Buddy Break Volunteer Training

Fellowship Center

Indian Rocks Baptist Church One Wednesday a month from 6:45-8:00 in the Education Center room 262 Nathaniel’s Hope Buddy Break is a free kids program where kids with special needs (VIP kids) make new friends, have fun playing games, hear and see great children’s stories, videos, music and more! Siblings have fun too! Meanwhile, their caregivers get a break from their caregiving responsibilities, usually for three hours. Buddy Break is a growing outreach to the VIP community done in partnership with churches across the nation. Indian Rocks Baptist Church is one of those partners and provides “Buddies” who are screened and trained, then paired one-on-one with a VIP during Buddy Break. No previous experience is necessary, just a loving heart and open arms. Buddies are volunteers who are at least 14 years of age and have been screened and trained through a two-hour “Buddy Training 101” class. Indian Rocks Baptist Church is excited to be able to offer this program to the community. If you would like to be a Buddy, please register at the link.
