After becoming a Believer when I was 21, I began ministry as a youth pastor. I served at Bellevue Baptist in Cordova, Tennessee; Calvary Baptist in Savannah, Georgia; Idlewild Baptist Church in Tampa, Florida; and was the founding pastor of Davis Island Community Church in Tampa.
In 2007 I became the Senior Pastor here at Indian Rocks Baptist Church. I am passionate about presenting the message of salvation to the lost, by grace through faith, in a clear and understandable way. It is a priority to me to enable believers to grow solidly in their faith through discipleship.
My wife Martha loves to spend time with the women of Indian Rocks. She enjoys spending her energies in leading women’s Bible study, mentoring, and the creative writing of dramas that present God’s truth in a relevant and meaningful way.
Martha and I have four children, Sarah Grace Robbins (married to Nathan Robbins), Dorothy, Christopher and Carey and two granddaughters, Evie and Phoebe. I was licensed and ordained in 1989 at Bellevue Baptist Church under Dr. Adrian Rodgers.
I received my seminary degree from Mid-America Theological Seminary and my Doctorate from Luther Rice Seminary.
