Juan Carlos has been a pastor for 18 years before joining the Indian Rocks Baptist Church in Spanish. Before coming to Indian Rocks, he planted three churches in the Tampa Bay area, two in North Carolina and one in Ambato, Ecuador. When he was in North Carolina, Pastor Juan was a Hispanic associate of the Yancey Baptist Association. In addition, he has also been a lecturer at his church in Ambato, Ecuador for the “Universidad de la Familia”.

Pastor Juan is also a member of the Biblical Training Center for Pastors and is an accredited Crossing Cultures International professor, has a Bachelor of Ministry in Christian Pastoral Counseling from Florida Christian University.

Married for 31 years to Lolita with whom he has two children, Pamela and Juan Junior. He enjoys playing soccer, other sports, and spending time with his family.
